Sourdough loaves and everything rolls recalled over plastic in product

Izzio Artisan Bakery, LLC of Louisville, CO, is recalling certain Everything Sourdough, Aldi Mixed Sourdough loaf, and Izzio Everything Rolls because of potential foreign material in the product, specifically plastic.

According to the details posted online by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), the recall was initiated on July 20, 202, and is ongoing.

The recalled product was shipped to 7 retail stores and 3 distribution centers in the following states: Illinois, Michigan, Texas, Ohio, New Jersey, Florida and Arizona.

Recalled products:

Izzio Everything Sourdough. Single 24oz loaf packaged into plastic bag. 12 loaves per case.

  • Product Quantity: 600 cases
  • Code Information: Lot numbers are 24177A, 24177C, 24186C, 24176A, 24176B, 24176C UPC: 65708204040 2

Aldi Mixed Sourdough loaf. A single 24oz loaf packaged into plastic bag, 12 loaves per case.

  • Product Quantity: 9500 cases
  • Code Information: Lot numbers 24184B, 24183B, 24184C, 24183C, 24184A UPC: EVSD 4099100291254

Izzio Everything Roll packaged in 12oz plastic bag, 6 rolls per bag – 16 bags per case.

  • Product Quantity: 450 cases
  • Code Information: Lot numbers are 24183C and 24183A UPC: 65708202951 3

Consumers and retailers should not use this product. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to their place of purchase.
